Working with the Regional Business Development Manager you will be instrumental in coordinating annual business strategies with insurance business units throughout the Pacific Islands network.
Based in Auckland you will be part of a collaborative entrepreneurial team where everyone works well together to achieve common goals. You will be instrumental in driving growth and enhancing underwriting practices and technical capability.
Your new role:
- Providing advice and underwriting guidance on all personal and commercial insurance lines of business
- Training and upskilling local teams in all relevant general insurance products
- Designing and implementing new business products and updating existing policy wordings
- Collaborating and fostering positive working relationships with current and potential direct clients, banks and insurance brokers
- Providing assistance and advice in all areas of insurance including Claims, Fronting arrangements, Reinsurance and policy administration
- Identifying market and industry trends
Important for your success:
- Relevant insurance underwriting (personal and commercial lines at a senior level)
- Comprehensive understanding of key underwriting risk principles
- Ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with colleagues, service clients, intermediaries and providers
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and empower underwriters NZ and Pacific Islands based
- Collaborative and solutions focused mindset
